General FAQs

  • At Salt & Honey, it's best to book an appointment online or by calling us to ensure that we can accommodate your request. While we do have designated times when we are at the spa, we may not be present at all times if you choose to walk in. Additionally, our treatment room is shared, so it may not be possible for us to accommodate walk-in appointments if we are already in a service. We recommend booking an appointment to make sure we can see you at a time that works for you.

  • We offer a variety of treatments to help you relax and rejuvenate. Two of our signature services that we highly recommend are the Salt Facial and the Honey Massage.

    • Our Salt Facial is a great way to start a new skincare routine and includes a lower leg salt scrub with our honey glaze foot treatment. This treatment is perfect for improving the texture and appearance of your skin, while also providing a pampering and relaxing experience.

    • The Honey Massage is a soothing massage that includes a hot stone to reduce pain and stiffness, while the honey glaze helps restore skin elasticity and moisture. For an extra boost of revitalization. You'll leave feeling a brand new human!

We hope these recommended treatments will help you find the perfect way to relax and rejuvenate at Salt & Honey. Let us know if you have any further questions or need additional assistance.

  • A studio spa is a smaller, more intimate spa experience. At Salt & Honey, we rent a private room from a Salon Suite business, which allows us to offer spa services in a more personal setting. While a full spa may have multiple treatment rooms and a larger staff, our studio spa has just one treatment room that is shared between our two owners. This allows us to provide a more personalized experience for our clients.

We hope this helps you understand what to expect when visiting a studio spa like Salt & Honey.

Facial FAQs

  • A facial can help improve the appearance of your skin almost immediately, with results such as reduced pore size, an even skin tone, and hydrated, supple, and youthful-looking skin. You may also notice a radiant glow after your treatment.

  • The area where the Botox was injected can be a bit sensitive for the first 24-48 hours after the procedure. It's strongly advised that you refrain from getting a facial, chemical peel, or microdermabrasion for a few days after the procedure.

  • Depends! Some facials are painful, but they don’t have to be. You’re either someone who enjoys being pampered and letting everything feed you well, or you want us to “get in there” and clean out your pores. You tell your specialist what you want and plan, and they will tailor your care to meet your requirements. Even if it differs from one visit to the next!

Waxing FAQs

  • It is normal to experience redness, tenderness, and tingling in the waxed area after a waxing service. Some individuals may also see small blood spots due to thicker or coarser hair. To ensure the best possible results, it is important to avoid touching or scratching the treated area for the first 24 hours following treatment.

  • You will gain the most benefits out of waxing when you schedule your appointments 2 to 5 weeks apart. For the legs, you will need to wax every 3 to 5 weeks. For the face, bikini line, and underarms, you will need to wax every 2 to 3 weeks

  • A vajacial provides the pubis with post-care love after hair removal. It helps with dead skin cells, ingrown hairs, razor burns, hyperpigmentation, dark spots and skin texture around the bikini line, all to maintain healthy and hydrated skin in the pubic area, leaving one feeling confident.

  • The main focus of a vajacial is to treat ingrown hairs and detoxify the skin. The hair must be removed first for the vajacial to fulfill this focus. Depending on the salon, the vajacial is offered in two different ways. Some estheticians break it into two sessions and book their client’s hair removal a day or two before treatment, while some salons include it as a back-to-back service to apply the vajacial treatment as a form of post-wax care. However, it’s not limited to someone who uses wax or sugar for hair removal; it’s also amazing for people who shave or laser their hair.

Teeth Whitening FAQs

Have a question that you didn’t see the answer to?

  • On the day of your appointment, gently brush your teeth and try to avoid irritating your gums. Also, stick to drinking water and eating non-acidic foods so your teeth will be ready for the whitening solution.

  • You will notice that your teeth are whiter right away – but you might also notice they are more sensitive, too. This is quite common for the first few weeks after the teeth whitening services and the sensitivity may continue with regular whitening.

For the first 24-48 hours after your treatment, it is best to avoid staining foods and drinks like coffee, tea, or red wine. Steer away from acidic foods like citrus as well, since this could cause additional sensitivity issues.

  • Teeth whitening services are quick and easy. They generally should last between one to two hours and should not be uncomfortable or painful at all.
